Carol Evans, DDS

Dr. Evans has lived in the Buda/Austin area since 1989. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston in 1986 and attended The University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio, earning her DDS with honors in 1998. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society and the Texas Association of Women Dentists. Dr. Evans has been practicing general/family dentistry including restorative, implant and cosmetic dentistry since 1989.

Following her belief in giving back to the community, Dr. Evans. has provided dental needs for Special Olympics participants, has participated in dental mission trips to serve those in need through the Christian Medical and Dental Society, served on the Executive Committee for Miles for Smiles, a volunteer organization providing community services to promote oral health care, and currently participates in an outreach program serving school children in the Austin area.

She loves spending time with her husband, Kerry, and daughter, Alli. Her hobbies are outdoors, running, water sports, skiing and camping.

Justin D. Koen, DMD

Dr. Koen, originally from Amarillo, Texas, received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After practicing for a number of years in New England, he and his wife decided to move back to Texas to be closer to family. Dr. Koen, his wife Sara, and their daughter Willa could not be happier to call Austin, Texas home. After meeting Dr. Carol Evans, Dr. Koen chose to practice here at Main St. Dental because of a shared belief in providing state of the art, relationship-based, comprehensive care that is tailored to fit into the lives and budgets of his patients.

Dr. Koen is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Texas Dental Association, and the Capital Area District Dental Society. Committed to providing the best care possible for his patients, Dr. Koen completes over forty hours of continuing education per year, and has taken postdoctoral courses in prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and is a member of the Seattle Study Club. He is in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. He is also available by cell phone in case of emergency.

Valerie — Office Administrator
Valerie joined Main Street Dental in 2011. She has been a great addition with her 17 years of experience. She is adored by many and cares for each patient individually as top priority. She and her husband, Curry, and daughter, Morgan, and son, Landon, live in the Hays area and are involved in the community. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and shopping.

Kevin — Office Administrator
Kevin began working at Main St. Dental as the Office Manager in May 2006 after an extensive history of office management. He attended The University of Texas where he studied Business Management. Kevin is the first person you meet upon visiting our office, assisting with appointments and financial arrangements. An accomplished instrument builder and guitarist, he lives in Austin with his wife, daughter, dogs and cats. He enjoys time with his family, running, camping, animals and music.

Stacy — Dental Hygienist
Stacy graduated from The University of Texas at Houston Dental School in 1988 and has been a dental hygienist for 21 years. Stacy comes from a family of dentists; her father, grandfather and great aunt were all dentists. For the past ten years Stacy has been an integral part of Dr. Evans’ team. She resides in San Marcos with her husband, Robert, along with their daughter Paige, and twin sons, Will and Price. Stacy loves being outdoors whether she is on her bike doing triathlons or running the scenic hill country trails. Stacy also loves gourmet cooking and traveling abroad.

Amanda — Dental Assistant
Amanda joined the Main Street team in 2010. She works as a dental assistant. She has lived in Buda her whole life and enjoys working in her hometown. She and her husand, Bo, have a son named Brenly and a Boxer named Tyson. With her spare time she loves to visit her family and scrapbook all the pictures of her son.

Weatherly — Hygiene Coordinator
Weatherly has been the Dental Hygiene Coordinator for Main St. Dental since December 2005. She assists patients with scheduling appointments and insurance verification. Weatherly and Todd live on the Blanco River in Wimberley with their son, Seth, and daughter, Addison. When Weatherly is not working, she enjoys shopping, baking, listening to music and playing with her children.
